The Shire is our most spacious cottage and sleeps 4 people. Features include a modern kitchen lounge diner, bathroom and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large oak framed king size bed, large wardrobe and drawers. The second bedroom has two single beds with wardrobe and draws.
The cottage has its own private hot tub at the front of the cottage overlooking the courtyard.
The open plan kitchen has a Belfast sink, modern appliances with large dining room table and a traditional stable door leading to the rear of the cottage with lovely views overlooking the paddocks. If you’re lucky you may be able to watch our pygmy goats and donkeys.
The lounge is complete with two sofas and modern TV with Freesat. The large bathroom has a shower over bath with oversized wash basin.
The cottage has retained traditional features throughout and has beautiful gabled ceilings and beams along with exposed original brickwork. Underfloor heating keeps the cottage cosy throughout the winter.
All linen including towels are supplied.

Amazing four days away in this lovely cottage. Breakfast was not applicable for us however the rest of it was perfect! The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling in the new forest! Easy to get to the various trips we had organised in the New Forest.
High standard furnishings, spacious, clean, private, beautiful views. Every little detail thought of. Great hosts. Easy booking process. Thoroughly recommend!

We had a perfect long weekend of cycling based at The Shire. The hot tub was such a bonus and Martin was a very helpful and responsive host. We would definitely come back again.

Owner was friendly, helpful and always on hand if needed.
Internet signal is not great, we knew there was no wifi but didn’t expect such a poor signal (despite using a signal check site before arriving). Owners planning to install wifi at some point so this would solve that issue.
All in all highly recommend and we would love to return one day.

This is was our 2nd stay here and we loved it just as much as our 1st stay … amazing accomodation , very clean kitchen sleeping area and bathroom, peacful beautiful surroundings ,had our own private hot tub very clean , i have always since my first stay here reccomended people to come and stay here … you get ur own parking aswell , also you have a bbq with accomodation , its a truely amazing place with a great price , i have already booked for next year .. host are very friendly and welcoming …. its a must go place price is amazing aswell.. go book you will love it .🩷😊

Just across the road we could walk around Blashford Lakes.
